The Crushers Finish with a Win
The Crushers finished strong, beating the Red Devils 3-2, with Julianna scoring two in the first half and Catherine scoring in the second. What a great way to finish a tough tournament. It was a close game (closer than I would have liked) but the Crushers came to win today: Julianna had a terrific game, making two goals before leaving for a dance recital at the half (she had a terrific performance there too.) Avery ended up being the backbone of our defense, shutting down several attacks before they even got close to our goal. Riley, who has an uncanny ability to be in the right place at the right time, helped created several chances for us today and scored a goal for us yesterday. At the beginning of the game, Ellie informed me that she was feeling very offense-minded today and that she was quite sure she would play well at midfield. She was right.
